Week 11: Garbage!

So this past week I've really been working on my slang. I'm good at not saying them, but Dangit is really hard for me to get out of my system. So I've been trying to use the word garbage instead. Don't ask me why garbage, I don't even know.

Monday we just stayed at the church and played games for P-day. With transfers it was nice to get to know the new missionaries better! We went to McDonalds and got ice cream. Yumm! One of our new converts works there so we went to say hello, but she wasn't working at that time. We got Ice cream anyway. Funny story, so after we got home after P-day we were taking shoes off and just going to do calls and texts. Then we heard the Ice cream truck! We ran out the door, hurried and put our shoes back on, and ran to the Ice cream truck. There were a bunch of little kids and then us! Haha! We got some popsicles. It was really funny!

Tuesday morning we went to seventh day Adventist church. They have a community garden to help people who don't have very much food. We pulled weeds and dug dirt. While we were digging dirt, Sister Vance told me there was a spider on my shoulder. At first I thought she was kidding and trying to freak me out. Then sister Whitmer looked and with big eyes she told me there was. I looked and there was a HUGE spider with long legs on my shoulder! I started freaking out and I kept moving so sister Whitmer smacked it with her hand! It went everywhere! EWW! You know when you have a good friend when she smacks a big bug! Haha! Later We saw Sherri! She's so awesome she was prepared by the Lord! She loves the church and its so awesome. We then had dinner with a member who took us out to Otis grill. It reminded me of when I worked at Roylies, so that was fun. I got an avocado cheeseburger with steak fries! Mouth watering goodness!  We had east Valley coordination. East Valley is an awesome ward!

Wednesday we went to food for thought to do service. They didn't need us that day. So we went apartment looking!!! We haven't found on yet, but we are looking for one! That night we taught the relief society how to make artisan bread. We taught because we do easy and the bread is easy, fast, and yummy! It was really fun, one of our investigators came and loved it!

Thursday I felt a toothache when I was brushing my teeth then again when I ate breakfast. The past few days my phone had been working weird. So we went to the mission office to ask about it, and I asked for a couple of dentist numbers. I got my phone fixed, then I called the dentist. I didn't want to make an appointment but they insisted they could take me in that day. So we went to an investigators house, and they slammed the door in our faces. Then we went to the dentist with sad hearts. The dentist said I cracked one of my fillings, because I've been grinding my teeth because I've been so stressed! He told me to wear my retainer which I hate, oh well! He fixed it for me for free and gave us extra tooth paste and floss which was awesome!

Friday Sister Whitmer had to go to the doctor so we went to downtown Spokane. We got lost for a little bit, but it was ok. Then we had district meeting which is always a good time. After that we went with Sister Pinson to see some investigators which was awesome. Then she took us back and fed us dinner which was super nice of her. She made the bread that we had taught! Haha!

Saturday we went apartment looking again. We saw this really nice one that was $1000 a month! no thanks. We then went to one that didn't have any available until August. Later, we went and saw one of our investigators and invited her to come to stake conference. After that  we went to the ward BBQ for the Newman Lake ward and it was so much fun! We met a lot of potential investigators! They had the yummiest brisket! It was so good!  That night we had a miracle! We went to see a former investigator and we asked if we could drop by sometime, and she said yes! Yay! she sounded really excited!
Sunday was stake conference! It was so good and so powerful. They saved the missionaries and investigators and new members seats! Elder Dikes and Elder Wright of the seventy came! We got to go up and meet Elder Dikes. Then they got to meet President and sister Dymock! It was really cool. After it was over we were on Facebook and posted about our dads. Then when we were leaving to go to our car Elder Wright came up and shook our hands and talked to us and thanked us. He was born in Ogden UT! It was really an awesome experience.

We just found out that we are staying where we are! I don't know how I feel about that but I'm really excited! Let you know next week how it goes!

Anyway this week has been really amazing. Lots of up and downs but it has been full of miracles. ❤

Love you all lots!
