Week 8: Week of Blessings

Monday morning we were cleaning and I heard a knock at the door. Sister Whitmer opens the door, and it was the Elders from our district! They said they tried to call us Sunday night and that morning. I had the sim card, so I looked and there were 18 missed calls. I had turned my phone on silent for church and forgot to turn it back on! Oops! They came to see if we were still alive! Haha!

This week we went tracting on the sentinel trail, seeing if people would open up any page on the Book of Mormon and highlight anything with Jesus Christ in it. We only got two people to do it and one was already a member! Haha! While we were walking we saw a waterfall and turtles! It was really fun.

We went to the temple this week. The Spokane temple is really small. When they told me it was small I didn't realize that it was that small. It's really beautiful though. It was awesome going in and I just felt peace after. We then went to a members house for dinner and they were in the process of moving so they gave us a house tour and it's gorgeous.

I had my very first blitz!!! It was really cool. Although we went to a neighborhood with a lot of lifer' s, and they are not really nice to Mormon missionaries in the past. So we just waved and smiled at them. We didn't really find anyone but that's ok we have a few cards suggesting to help them with service. We went to Costa Vida for lunch with our district so that was fun.

Yesterday was a day of blessings. Our investigator that's getting baptized this Sunday, her sister and brother in law came come from salt lake and he's going to baptize her!  She was so worried and scared that they weren't going to but they are!!!  We got a new investigator, he's 16 and he started going to a different ward because of his friend, and he's going to seminary. We gave him a church tour of our church and we asked what he feels about this church and he had the biggest smile on his face and he said Joy. He knows a couple of young men from our ward so it will be an easy transition. Hopefully. Then we got a referral for this family who's going through a tough time. They live in our apartment complex and they seem solid too!!!! The work right now in this ward is amazing. They have worked and prayed so hard for the longest time. God knows that he can trust them!
