Monday- so for p-day we stayed at the church and played volley ball. It was really fun. We played some other game too.
Tuesday- Sister Whitmer had MLC (missionary leader council) it's where all the zone leaders and Stl's go and meet with the president and they just council how we can make this mission better. It goes from 8am-3pm. So I got to be with sister Lovig and Sister James! I got to take over the area for the very first time! Scary! We went to 7th day Adventist to do service to help with their community garden. It was funny, they used to be companions so they were talking and catching up and I didn't know what they were talking about most of the time. Haha! It was really cool sister Brondow (one of the sisters we live with) was companions with sister Lesuma for the day!!! So at lunch we were just talking and trying to catch up! It was really fun to see her again! We really want to be companions again, so we will see! After lunch we had a new member lesson with Sherri. My first time taking the lead in a lesson! Sherri is very easy to talk too and she's so nice! After that we went back to pick up sister Whitmer and I got to meet sister Whitmer's trainer! Haha! I also got to meet President and Sister Thompson! It was really cool! They are so nice and spiritual!
Wednesday was the fourth of July and the tour with the Thompsons!!! It was really awesome. We got there early to practice music. When the Thompson's arrived, we all stood up. The spirit was so strong. They brought 4 of there 6 kids with them. 16, 14, 11 and 8. The youngest was the sweetest. She gave all the sisters a hug. It was the sweetest thing! It was so cool to see president Thompson talk about the mission and all of his callings to prepare him for this calling. After that we had dinner then weekly planning. We were not supposed to go out tracting that night. That night we heard the fireworks so we went to the balcony to see if we could see them. There was a couple, but they were far away and there were a lot of trees in the way! Haha! But we got to bed at 10:30! Haha!
Thursday we went tracting to some apartments. We went to see a member who's mother is not a member, and she's deaf. Sister Whitmer can sign, so we went and taught her a lesson. I didn't know what was going on but it was cool! After that we went home and had lunch and companion study.
Friday we went and helped a new member with her garage sale. We had to go to district meeting and then we went back to help her some more. We stayed a little longer than we should have, I got a nice burn on my neck. Haha! She fed us pizza after, which was delicious. We then went home and had companion study. For dinner we went to Costa Vida for dinner. Then while I was paying for my meal the worker said our meals were paid for. It was the most touching thing. We don't know who paid for it, but we were so thankful.
Saturday we went tracting in some apartments. We met a lot of nice people. It was really cool. We drove to the church to use Facebook. Then a miracle happened. We were driving to Dee's listening to amazing Grace. We were driving on the highway, and this car didn't see us and almost hit us. Sister Whitmer swerved, and if she didn't, we would have gotten hit. It was so crazy, it was less than an inch from hitting us. After that happened we pulled over to see if we got the car scratched. We sat and said a prayer. I could hardly get the words out I was crying so hard. My heart was full of gratitude. After we had calmed down, we headed over to Dee's. We stayed there for 2 1/2 hours! Man, she can talk. We love her though, she's awesome. After that we had companion study and dinner.
Sunday we had Newman Lake ward council. It was cool. We've been getting a lot of referrals for that ward, so Yay! Then in East Valley, Dee came to church! That was awesome she absolutely loved it! After that we went home and did personal study and companion study.
This week has been full of miracles and tender mercies. And I know it's because all of the prayers. So thank you. I know that this this church is true and that Heavenly Father loves each one of us.
Lots of love!!!
