Week 30: Happy Halloween!

Hello! I hope all of you are doing well! This past week we have realized that we have mice in our kitchen. Ew, we caught one but the rest keep on out smarting the traps. But we can hear them during the night and it's so nasty. Haha!

Monday we had a zone Halloween party! We played zombie games and we ate donuts. It was way fun! Haha!

Tuesday was MLC for sister Arrington so she had to go to the valley with sister snow. I went on the south hill with sister Eubanks. It was way fun! Haha! We went to the food bank! We then walked for an hour to a lesson and they weren't there! It was really sad. Then a member gave us a ride back. Then they came back and we drove back to Davenport.

Wednesday was Halloween!!! We went to go help a lady finish her house before she moved. We cleaned her kitchen. We helped her pack some stuff away. She was so stressed so hopefully we helped her out a little bit.

Thursday morning we went to this lady's house to finish her leaves. We go over and she says it's too wet for us, so she invites us inside and she talks with us for about 2 hours. She then gave us pocket crosses. Haha! We then went to the knitting club at the church. We were there for about 2 hours. Then we go back home to do our studies well, during our studies we get a call. It's this lady saying how someone went to go help her mom with her leaves and they didn't. We were like ok... we ask the name of her mom and address and it's the lady we went to go help that morning. We texted the lady to see if we could go back over on a other day and she hasn't replied. Apparently past missionaries had the same problem with her. She makes stories for pity. Anyways we will probably go over and just finish her leaves sometime this next week. Oh boy... That night we stayed in and did weekly planning.

Friday we had district council. Then we did exchanges and I went with sister Thomas to YSA. Haha! It was way fun. All the people we talked to were super nice, it was kind of surprising. Although the bad thing about YSA is that you don't get dinners, like ever. So we had oven pizza! Haha! We had a lot of fun!

Saturday we got to go to Spokane and help with catholic charities. They help people at the communities rake their leaves. We got to go as a district to rake this one ladies yard. She was the sweetest and kept checking up on us. We had a lot of fun. Then we went back to the Gonzaga College and they fed us lunch. We then exchanged back and drove back to davenport. We went to go see Tom and see how he was doing. We were also very lost on what we need to do with him. He just wasn't progressing. We go over and ask him what we need to do and he said he didn't know. Then he told us we were wasting our time with him because he didn't see himself getting baptized any time soon. That he doesn't want to change. He said we could go back if we wanted but, he doesn't care. It was the saddest thing ever. We then walked around in the cold rain for a half and hour crying. He just dropped us and doesn't care about how the gospel can bless his life. We didn't know what just happened. My heart felt like it was on the floor being dragged. After that we had a lesson with Leanette that we went to, but we weren't feeling it. It was so sad. We went home after.

Sunday we went down to Ritzville for church. After Church we got to go to President and Sister Burts house for dinner. They are so nice. They are letting us stay over there when we stay in Ritzville. They are way nice. After we went to see Joan. She is not doing very well, she needs so many surgeries and she cant afford her place anymore so she's probably moving closer to Spokane or in an assisted living. Then we went back to Davenport and did studies. .

This week has been full of up and downs. I guess you gotta have downs to have ups. Its still so sad. I just pray for Tom and what he will do with his life. I'm just so sad for him but, he has his agency and he has chosen it. I have a testimony of this gospel. I know that it was restored here on earth once more so we can choose to have eternal happiness. I know that Heavenly Fathers plan is perfect and he knows everything we are going through.

I love you all and hope you a great week!!!
