Week 25: Fair food!

Monday we had a really fun experience. We took the bus to down town Spokane! Yay! We went to Boo Radleys. It's a tourist store. Then as we are walking to the mall this guy looked really sad so we talked to him and he said his mother is dying. We offered him a meal and he took it. As we did that we missed the bus. So we had to wait another 30 minutes. When the bus came we missed the bus closer to home so we walked. We were late for zone p day. Haha!

So this week was kind of a mesh together and I know I'm getting worse and worse at my weekly emails. I'll let you know of the big things that happened.

Tuesday we put our car on the alter. Why? For this transfer to see some miracles we've decided to give up our car on east valley days and use the bus or walk. Pines in really scary to ride bikes so. Ya. So we walked to cafe Rio ($2 taco tuesday) and walked to Dee's house. To help her move some stuff out of her garage. Then we called our dinner to pick us up. Then after she dropped us off at east valley Coordination. After that we walked home. Haha! Wednesday there was a relief society Mexican dinner and we got to go! Yay! We saw a lot of our friends! Haha! Tagus was one and we have an appointment with her! Yay! There was also a lot of less active families in the ward also so that's a plus! Yay! Thursday we had a pass off lesson with the sisters. We took him on a church tour and it was way cool. And know he is on date for baptism! Yay! Friday we went to Newman lake and Sister Hawkins taught Kayla to pitch in soft ball and I played with kittens! Haha! I have the scars from it too! Haha! Kayla is the foster daughter of the bishops. They are soon going to adopt her then she's going to get baptised! We also had a lesson with this girl named Sarah. Her husband is a less active member and she is interested! We gave them the lesson and it was so amazing! Saturday there was a valley Fest in our area! There was fried food, lemonade, the works! Haha! We walked around for our dinner hour and a member bought us a scone, another member gave us lemonade, and Carmel apples! Ha! I guess you could say we are taken care of! Haha! Sunday we had a lesson with Sky. Her mom and step dad are recent converts. We put her on date! Yay! She is preparing for November 13.

This week has been packed! We have been finding like like crazy and now we have to focus on those people that we have found. We are super busy! It's so amazing to see God's hand in everything we do! I love this gospel and the peace it bring into homes and the effect it can have on everybody. I absolutely love it!

Week 24

Monday Sister Hawkins got a group of missionaries that are leaving soon and made a trip to the Hiwatha trail. So I stayed with sister Brandow and Sister Dobrovoskca. We went on a hike with sister Cox (mission home superviser) or something like that. Haha. Then we helped her out with some things for zone conference. We picked up sister Hawkins and then we went street contacting. A lot of people were not too nice to us. That's Ok! Haha!

Tuesday I don't remember what happend

Wednesday we had zone conference! It was so amazing I have never felt the spirit so strong ever. It was amazing.

Thursday we went on splits with a soon to leave missionary and a RM. It was fun.  All the people we went to go see were not home! And all the doors we knocked on were not home either! Haha!

Friday we went to see some people and invite to the chicken cook off on Saturday, and meet a couple of families that would be willing to have us over again. So yay!

Saturday we had this pass off lesson with this guy that does rap music, and he is very knowlegable about the bible and he said that Adam and Eve were not the first people on earth. So we convinced him through the bible that they were. And he said that made sense! Haha! We also had the chicken cook off and A LOT of people came that we had invited! It was so awesome!

Sunday I gave a talk in sacrament about contention. How it's not good for the soul. We were so hungry we forgot to have breakfast, and low and behold, Brother McComb's handed us a sack of Pb&j's! Haha! He's the best! We then had 2 dinners that night because of some confusion between the ward dinners. And they both prepared it already. We went to the bishop's house in newmen lake for our second dinner.

This week has been really amazing. Zone conference was amazing. I have been studying the bible and president Nelson's recent talks and it has been really interesting to see how the bible is a huge part of the second coming. I love this gospel so much. I feel our Saviors love more and more each day.

Hope you all had an amazing week! Love you lots!

Week 23: Scooters!!!

Monday and Tuesday I can't remember what happen. We did some service and i can't remember. That's why you write in your journal everyday. Haha! Although on Tuesday we got $2 tacos! Haha!

Wednesday we had at least 3 appointments in newmen lake and everyone of them cancelled. *sigh*  That's ok we just talked to some potientals and none of them were home! What a day! Haha!

Thursday we had interviews with president. Then we did service with the Elders. We help with her yard and we put bricks down for a pathway. Then we had weekly planning. Then we had Russian exchanges! So sister Brandow and I went to see this less active and we showed her a video and she started crying. So we invited her to church and she said yes! Alas she didn't come to church. Then I went with sister Brandow to stake coordination. It was interesting. Then we had dinner. Funniest part of the day we were talking with the sisters and they said that members gave them scooters and they didn't want them. So they gave them to us! Haha! We are having way to much fun with them! Haha!

Friday we had district council. After that we went to sing to the Banks (senior office couple) they are leaving on Wednesday. All the missionaries that live close by came and we sang to them. They started to cry, then I started to bawl like a baby. They are my Spokane Family! Although I was the only one crying, Haha! I gave sister banks a big hug! We just hugged each other crying! Haha! After that emotional rollercoaster, we went street contacting on our scooters! Haha! A lot of people said we look way cool! Haha!!! We met this girl named Courtney she is really interested so were excited to go back! She lived in out old apartment complex! Haha! Then we went to a memeber s house to ask for water and they let us in and they invited Kim and her boyfriend over for a game night! It was really cool! Haha! After that we went back to the apartment and while sister Hawkins did language study I was on my scooter! Haha! After that we went and helped the Banks pack and she gave us some of her clothes, so now I have a couple of sweaters! Yay!

Saturday Sister Brandow had MLC(missionary leader council) so we had sister Dobrovoslca with us and Sister Kingsford. Sister Dobrovovslca and I went to teach a less active who just had surgery. We talked to him about the temple and it was really cool. We went back and picked up sister Brandow. She said that Elder Whiting came and told them how president Nelson is like an old testament prophet and how revelation is key to what's coming. He also said if you think this past general conference is crazy then this next one is going to be insane. She wassnt slowed to say what it was but members are probably going to leave the church because of it. Crazy. We then.for companion study we read president Nelson past conference talks. Then the Elders called us and asked if we could help with service. We got there and this guy were helping tells us not to touch his weed plants so we were like ok. As were digging his daughter comes out and offers us a brownie. The elders take one after they ate it he says those are my special brownies. Crap. Did the Elders just take weed brownies. We were asking if he was lying he wassnt. We had to leave for a minute and we came back and the Elders were freaking out. They were drinking a lot of water. Trying to puke. Then one of the elders starting acting weird. And right before sister Hawkins yelled at this guy they said it was a prank. And the guy was a member. What! We were freaking out and they just wanted to know if we cared!

Sunday sister Hawkins spoke in sacrament and it was really good. I speak next week, oh boy. After church the Wright's drove us to there house for dinner. After dinner I realized I left my bag at there house. But we had an appointment so we asked if we could meet up at 7:15 at the church. Well our appointment was with non active members. They fed us pie and one pie was apple pie but instead of apples they were zucini! What the... it tasted just like Apple pie! It was crazy!!! Anyway it was 7:15 And we had to go so we shared a video and the spirit was so strong so we stayed and shared our testimonies and told them that they are missed. Then there was a knock at the door and it was brother Wright with my bag! Haha! What! It was Crazy! We then said a prayer with them and hopefully they will come to church.

This week has been crazy spiritual. Just thinking of October's general conference gives me chills. I can't wait. The second coming IS coming and it's right around the corner. I have been studying repentance this past week and how important it is. I love this gospel. I love our Heavenly Father. I love Jesus Christ. So much love!

Then we went to Payge's, a recent converts wedding reception. We went with the McComb's. Haha! It was really nice. After they gave us Pb&J's to go. Haha! They are the sweetest people ever!!!

Sunday we had one person come to church!  We invited 5. Haha! Church is one of those things. Haha! Then Brother McComb's asked if we would go see this house. We did. and it was this part member family. She is not a member but wants to come to church with her kiddos!  Yay!

This week has been fun. A lot of blessings we have noticed. I have been studying the Savior and his atonment. It's amazing to think that he suffered for you, then he died for you, and he lives, for YOU. I love the Savior and all that he has done and continues to do. I know that he lives and loves each of us. His sacrifice means the world to me and it makes my day a little better. Love you all and I hope you had a good holiday weekend!
