to me
The other day I asked Sister Kingsford what the title of my last weekly should be and in unison we said Peace Out! So there ya go! It's crazy that I come home in.... I'm not counting. BUT ITS SOON! Crazy how time flies when you are doing the Lords work. I never thought I would be writing this weekly but here we are!

This week we got to go to the Temple! I LOVE to see the temple. Its an amazing place. I recieved so much revelation and my spirits were lifted! I love it so much!

We also had zone conference! Elder and Sister Pearson the area President and his wife came and spoke to us. Holy smack it was amazing. It was so good. I wrote down so many notes! He talked about so many things. I cant explain it on my weekly because it wont make sense but he basically talked about missionary work and how to be better at it. Haha!

Also this week we were on our way to service and when we got out of the car Sister Kingsford has smashed her pinky finger in the car door. She had to open the door to get her pinky out. It isn't broken but her finger nail got pretty smashed. We go up to Joyce (the lady we did service for) and told her what happend. She got some gauze and tape. Let's just say that she sat out on the service that day. I got some pretty great photos out of it.😅 She and her pinky are doing better now. We named the finger nail Bill and he is probably going to fall off. Uh... Bill?

We had an awesome first lesson with Kieth! We found him tracting and he said we could come back! He is so awesome, we taught him about the premortal life and how God is our loving Heavenly Father. The spirit was so strong and he said the closing prayer! It was so powerful and the spirit was definitely present. Yay for Keith!

We also had an amazing miracle last night. A couple of weeks ago we asked Bishop to pray for a street we should tract on, he got back to us and said Lacrosse st. Well, Keith was on that street and also Ellen another person we are teaching. Well, also a couple of weeks ago we decided that everyday and 10pm we would pray as a companionship for referrals. Well, last night we received a referral for Lacrosse st! How crazy is that! We didn't have time to stop by but hopefully we will stop by soon and see this miracle person. Haha!

Can I say how much I love my Savior. He has truly changed my life the past 18 months. As I come closer to the savior and the more faith I have in Him the more I feel in control. He has helped me have the best mission ever. He sent me to Spokane for a reason. The people here have touched my life more then I could have ever known. I know that he runs this church. I know that this is His church. I know he loves me even though I may feel small sometimes in this big distracting world, He reaches out. We just have to grab and hold on tight. I know He lives. I know that he loves all of us with such love. I have felt that love for the people here. I am very grateful for the experience my mission has been. The blessings and miracles I've seen. I love it with all my heart. I am so sad to leave this place and the people because the savior helped my see love for them. I will never forget it.

Thank you everyone who has supported me in this great journey. God Bless.

Wait... What? Oct. 14, 2019

Ahhhhh! I don't know about you but I am freaking out! One more pday left and them I am homebound. That's wierd. I feel like i just got here and I'm starting to get the hang of things...
I have been doing really well other then the fact that I am going home sooner then wanted... but I'm not bitter!
We did some service at the garden of "eatin". It was pretty fun! We pulled pumpkins and sorted them by size. We also cut up some raspberry bushes which was fun!
We also went to this volunteer dinner for the C.O.P. shop in Spokane. We went with President's permission but it was pretty interesting. The food was awesome and we sat next to one of the council women for the city of Spokane. She asked alot if questions about what we do as Missionaries which was pretty cool.
We are started teaching Ellen! She was so sweet. We tracted into her and we set up a time for us to come back and we did and she was so cute! She works at Trader Joe's and she had cheese and apples and sunflower butter for us! It was so sweet! She had a lot if good questions which was good! We hopefully have another lesson with her next week! Yay!
I have LOVED my mission! It has been an amazing experience and I have learned so much! I love the people here so much!
Love ya!

Sit your adversary butt down Satan! 9/30/2019

That quote was by Sister Kingsford and I thought it was quite accurate for this past week.

On Wednesday sister Kingsford was starting to get sick. A little bit later we find out Sister Boyle (a sister that lives with us) was getting sick too. They both got really sick by the end of the day. Sister Donohoe ( Sister Boyles companion) and I go on exchanges! We had a couple of lessons and we kept going back and forth in our areas. They were sick for about 3 days so we were companions for 3 days. It was really fun and stressful. Then come to find out almost every companionship one person that was sick in our zone. It was really sad. Everyone was getting sick, so we got permission to go to Walmart and we bought A LOT of Gatorade, cold/flu medicine and cough drops. Satan was really trying the Missionaries this week but luckily Sister Kingsford and Boyle are feeling good enough to go out. The other Missionaries are feeling better too!

Miracle that happend this past week, Monday we were in line to pay for our groceries and this lady comes up and pays for them! It was amazing! I was like thank you. Then when this sickness went around I was able to afford the cold/flu medicine, Gatorade and cough drops. It was amazing! Heavenly Father is really and he is there for us! He prepares us for the hard times and he is there with us when we go through them. He is amazing!

Also another thing that you could tell that was the hand of Satan is that it SNOWED! Yep, it was snow. Yep, it was really cold. Haha!

September 23: Temple!

Hello again! This week we got to go to the Temple with Travis! It was so cool! He was so happy the hole time you saw his teeth the hole time! It was really sweet! He loved it so much! He also got a calling to be temple and family history consultant! He is doing amazing!

We were also allowed to watch president Nelson's devotional on Tuesday. It was so good! If you haven't read it or watched it you should! It was amazing!

It's been super rainy this week as well and one day we tracted all day (our lessons got cancelled) in the pouring rain. It was quite the day! Haha!

We got to have Interviews with President Thompson this week and he told me to work harder then I ever had before! So I am trying my very hardest to talk to all these people! It gets SUPER awkward but that's ok. I made a goal to embrace the awkward...Haha! Doesn't mean I'm good at it but I sure am trying. Haha!

Yesterday I was thinking about this older couple who in recent years has gone Less Active because of medical reasons. We stopped by around 8 PM at night and we visited with them. We said a prayer with them and after the brother was in tears, he said it was because he was happy. He was happy because he probably felt the spirit for the first time in a long time. It was such  testimony to me of the power of prayer and of God's love.

Oh I forgot to introduce my new companion! Her name is Sister Kingsford and she is from Gilbert AZ, she has been out for 15 months. God put 2 oldies together, how funny. She's great! She loves the work and we are working well
together! It's awesome!

This past week I have realized how REAL God is. I know that sounds weird, but really. I've always known he was there but I have had experiences that has given me faith to know that he is there and knows me personally. Heavenly Father blesses so much more then you expect. It's crazy. I know he is there and watches over all of us. He knows Sister Call who is so awkward talking to people but he blesses me with the ability to say what they need to hear. Do they accept it, not always, is it hard, heck ya! But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. This is the greatest work! I just love being a missionary!

Last Transfer! September 9, 2019

Ahhhhhh! I am freaking out that I come home in like 6 weeks! Crazy! I told my mission President and he told me to work, work, work! So that is what I have been doing! I have been trying to open my mouth to everyone I see trying to relate something they say back to the gospel! It gets really awkward sometimes, but that's ok. We got transfer calls and I am staying in the River Ridge ward but Sister Guthrie is leaving! I am SO sad! She has been an awesome companion and friend and I will miss her a lot!

I know I haven't written a weekly for a LONG time but there hasn't been much too say... We have been trying to find people to teach but no one has been too interested so far. A lot of people have disappeared not reaching back to us so it's kinda sad but we are getting through it! We have been helping members clean and we helped paint a house! It was fun! The other day we walked all over town contacting potentials and none such luck. We did run into this super fun family who said we could come back. So we are excited!

So we are teaching this elderly member who got baptized a couple of years ago. After she got baptized she had a stroke and a couple of brain surgeries and the result of that she forgot all that the Missionaries had taught her. Since then she has been inactive because she was so sick, but recently we have been teaching her the lessons and helping her keep those commitments so she can enter into the temple. She said that her ancestors are waiting and keep telling her to help them. She is getting her temple recommend soon and we are so excited for her!!!

This week we had to go to a doctors appointment for Sister Guthrie. The wonderful sister Thompson (Mission Presidents wife) took us there. She is like my role model!  She is amazing, and here's why. We were in the waiting room and she starts talking to this guy with a cast on his foot. Apparently he got in a bad motorcycle accident a few days before and was here to check out his foot. Before Sister Thompson could share anything he was called away into the doctors room. She was saying to us that she had wished she had more time with him so she could give him a pass along card. We are in one if the rooms and he is in the room next to us. We got everything figured out and so we start driving home. Well, she said that she wished she would have and she says "were going back!" We turn around and go back into the parking lot and he is just getting into his car. She starts talking with him and gives him a card and he starts talking about his deceased dad who visited him in a dream a few nights ago and he told him "what now?" While he shook is broken foot. He started getting teary eyed and said thanks. We were able to get his address and hopefully send Missionaries down his way! It was amazing how she followed her impression she had to share the gospel! It was so cool! Sorry for the long story!

I just love this Gospel so much! My mission has been so amazing and I can't wait what more it has in store for me!

August 5, 2019

Hello! This past week has been good! We got transfer calls last week and I am in north Spokane in the River Ridge ward! It is a great ward!

Before transfers I was in a trio with sister Hailstone and Sister Walton for a few days. It was super fun! I said bye to all of the Cheney people.

In the River Ridge ward the members are so faithful and we have an excellent missionary minded ward! It is huge too! I haven't been in a ward as big as this one since I've been in Utah! Its crazy! This area is SUPER city. It has some boonie areas but I'm talking crazy driving road city. The past few days I have yelled, been honked at and even had someone put their brights on me!!! I promise I'm not a bad driver I am learning how to fend for myself in the city. Let's just say this transfer is going to teach me patience! Haha!

On a lighter note my new companion is Sister Guthrie. She is from fort worth Texas! You can tell she is from there because she is so bold with the people we talk to and she has the spirit to back her up when she does! It's amazing!

On an even lighter note this week has been super draining for me. I don't know why but last night Sister Guthrie and I laid on the floor and we both didn't have any energy to get up! We have been working hard! Haha! This past week has been really spiritually lifting too. Hope you all have a good week!

July 22, 2019: Cherries!!!!

Hello!

Ok something amazing is happening! An apostle is coming to our mission! We don't know which one it will be but I may or may not have my favorites ;) Just kidding! I just am so excited! The mission is preparing like crazy! We had zone confrence this past week and it was so good! We were talking all about preparing for an apostle. We are getting excited! Haha! This week we had a lesson with Rochelle. She is the sweetest. She is a single mom and she is so ready for the gospel. The only thing holding her back is that she works on sundays.

As for the cherries, so the past couple of months I have had an intense craving for cherries. I may or may not have complained to the sisters once or twice about it. ;) I would see them on the trees outside and want one so badly! But this week the other sisters brought us this big bowl of cherries that a member gave them! Then the next day a member brings us dinner and a big bag of cherries! I know this might sound silly but it was one of those moments where the Lord knows us each so well! Haha!

This week we got to teach this really awesome lady named Jenn! The sisters referred her over to us and we stopped by and she had ALOT of questions for us. We were there for about an hour and a half trying to answer them. She is was actually curious! She asked about what we do as missionaries and what we believe in. The spirit was so strong too! Well, we stop by for our next appointment and she said she was busy and to come back the next day. We stop by and her friend answers the door and says that Jenn doesn't want anymore stop by's. We asked if we could talk to Jenn, she said she was on the phone then slammed the door. It was so sad! We are hoping to get in contact with her when her friends not home. Hehehe.

Anyway! This past couple of weeks have been good! It has been getting hot and then dreary and rainy. So I kinda like it! I was looking at pictures from a year ago today and it was 110°! Ah! I'm so glad it's not that hot now! Haha! It's been good! We have been keeping busy! I hit my 15 month mark this week too! Ah! That's a scary thought!

I've had the time of my life out here though! It's been the greatest thing that I could have ever done. I know that this gospel brings happiness, I know Jesus Christ lives. I know that we can find lasting happiness in this gospel. I love you all and hope you all have a good week!
