May 20, 2019: Temple!

Hello! This week has been really good! I got to go to the temple twice this week! We went with Olivia one of our recent converts to do Baptisms! Then on Friday we went with our district! Olivia LOVED it! She couldn't wait to get get home and tell her mom about it. It was so neat! She said she was amazed that there was showers in the temple! 

This week we had exchanges! I went with sister Squire! She is a Visa waiter for Portugal! She is literally the sweetest! 

We had interviews with President Thompson this week! It was really good! We talked about the people we are working with and they invited us to find 1 new person to teach a day! And so far we have! Its so cool to see how Heavenly Father works! 

This week we had stake conference! It was really neat! Elder Davis of the seventy came. He was so nice, and personable. It was a really good conference! I also got to see people from D-port and the Ritz! Sister Burt saw me and gave me the biggest hug! It was so sweet! 

So this past week it has been raining like crazy! Haha! One day there was lightning and thunder and it was kinda scary! Haha! It was right before finding time and of course it was the day we didn't have the car. Haha! So we got wet! It was great! Haha! 

Funny story of the week: So we  go to Bonnie and Olivia's for a lesson. We walk up and we see this orange cat in a cage. We were like what? And they said that it was their cat named Gus and he is an inside cat but he likes the outside and they don't trust him to be outside. Haha! The cat was just chillen in a cage! Haha! We died laughing! Haha!

Hello! How are you all doing?! I am doing good! This past week has been crazy! Haha! We found a new friend! His name is Kenneth Ill and for the longest I called him Kennith the 3rd but his last name is iLL. Haha! So funny! He is a really cool guy. At first he didn't want a book of mormon then we talked to him for a minute and told him how much it will bless his life. He has a lot of good questions so that is good!  

So this past week we had a lesson with our recent converts Bonnie and Olivia. Olivia didn't really want to be there so she was getting distracted and was messing around. Then out of the blue her mom yells "stop right now or I'm gonna smack the Holy Ghost right outa you!" Haha! It was so funny! Everyone just broke down laughing and that will be a memory I will remember forever. Haha! 

We also had service at camp comia this week and it was gross. One of the buildings flooded so we moved these carpet squares outside and they were slimy and smelled like rotten eggs. I was trying so hard not to gag! Haha! It was nasty!🤢 

We also met these really cute family. They are from Sadia Arabia and they are so sweet. They talked to us for a while. They are really interested in Christianity and love talking with missionaries. 

We also got to help out at Cheney May fest. Its a festival they put on every year. They had music and food and blow up toys for kids. It was so fun! We got some nachos and that was fun! We helped at whats called the Art alley and that was pretty cool.

I know that this church is true. I know that gathering Israel is the most important work going on today. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and he loves each of us individually. Love you all!

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I know mine was fun! We got to talk to our families! It was so fun! But then later we realized that our Mission President told us not too, but we didn't know! Haha! Oops! For dinner we had the usual ham and mashed potatoes which was so yummy! Although they had 3 big dogs trying to tackle me the hole time so that was quite interesting! Then we went to another members for cheesecake and then we visited with Sister Maxson. She is an older member that is homebound. So we visit her and paint our nails with her. She is just so cute! Haha! Then we walked and went to a park to have a lesson with John. He is going through alot so we just talked to him. 

I don't know about you but missionaries find anything funny. The past few week I have realized that I find the simplest things hilarious! Haha! So this past week at camp comia (a Christ based camp that we do service for like building houses for the homeless) we found a worm. Well, of course my companion dared an Elder to eat it. Well, let's just say that it ended up with an hilarious video, a grossed out group of missionaries, a sick Elder and a worm that went through the digestive system of an 18 year old boy.... Just kidding! He just put it in his mouth the spit it out. Gross, but funny!  

We also had a lesson with Lloyd and he is on date for baptism! He is so ready and excited and we are too! 

This week we had zone confrence. Sister Thompson gave trainings on how to be more persuasive and it was really good! President Thompson gave a training on the atonement that I will never forget. The spirit that was in that room at that time was so powerful you could have cut it with a knife. I dont really remember what he said but all I remember is the way that I felt at that time and how my love for the savior grew. I know that he lives and loves me. I know that because he loves me he died for me. He suffered so much so we didn't have too. But we have the choice to use the atonement or to push it aside. He loves us everyone of us and I know that. This past week we have run into not so nice people but I know that the savior still lives them I just have to remember that. Love you all and hope you have a good week!
