Week 29: Driving!

Hello! So today's pday is cut short because were going to the temple on Thursday! Yay! So I'll make this short and sweet.

The reason why my title is driving is because we drive an hour to Ritzville and an hour to the stake center and there is no trees just dead wheat fields. So it's kinda sad. I've never hated driving so much in my life. Haha!

Tuesday we got to help Sandra with her leaves and she was very thankful. She said that she would make us cinnamon rolls and show us her painting next time. She is really sweet and were excited to go back and help her some more. She said that since she met us the first time she had been praying for us. Which is really sweet! That night we had a stake auxiliary training and us and the ward mission leaders got to learn some new stuff which was way cool. Instead of the meal calender we are using ministering calender and using it as a way to get into members homes and teach them how to be missionaries.

Wednesday we drove to Ritzville (which is an hour drive with nothing but road and dead wheat fields). We got to help at the care and share. We just put out clothes and counted boxes for Christmas time. We had a lesson. With Joan. She has been meeting with the missionaries for a long time and she knows she needs to be baptised but she is scared of immersion under water. So we are trying to build her faith so that she can overcome that fear. Then we had a zone meeting with all the missionaries in our zone and we talked about our goals for this transfer.

Thursday we had weekly planning! Haha! Every Thursday a bunch of ladies get together at the church and they knit and crochet. A lot of them are not members so we get to go! I learned how to crochet! I'm not very good at it though.  Then we had coordination and ARP.

Friday we had to travel to district council. Then we had service with Lindsey and Jeff. We then went to Leanttes lesson and she talked the whole time! Haha! We didn't get anything in! That's ok we will get her next time! Haha!

Saturday and Sunday were really just boring so I won't talk about them although we did go try to see somebody and they didn't answer but then we get this text saying don't come back and loose this number. So that was sad. Saturday night some members invited us and Tom to dinner. Tom is an older British man who is on date for baptism. We got to go and he had a blast. Haha! He's so funny.

This past week was quite eventful. But I hope and pray you all are doing ok. Love you!

Week 28: Welcome to Davenport!

Transfer Week! Yay! Very stressful but then very exciting!

I am getting worse and worse in remembering what happens during the week.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were just full of goodbyes which are super sad.

Thursday was transfers! I got all packed and everything and then we went to the transfer sight! I said some more goodbyes or see ya laters and in the car we went to davenport. We got there and we did service right off the bat. They are some friends who are moving soon so we helped them pack. Then we went to the wards A.R.P. Which is really neat. Then we had Davenport coordination then we got home and I unpacked everything.

Friday we went to help a friend move furniture in her house. Her house was way dusty and I kept on sneezing! Haha! Then we did weekly planning then during weekly planning a lady called and said she needed some help moving things, so we went to go help her and we asked her how she has out number and she said years ago some elders gave her a card offering service and shes kept it ever since, So that was way cool! We helped her move some bags in preparation for winter time. She was very thankful and we offered to rake her leafs sometime next week and she said sure!

Saturday we went to a ward members funeral. It was really sad. Sister Arrington played the piano and it was really cool. We then had lunch and went down to Ritzville. It is and hour drive to get to there. Its crazy. We went to go see some people and we got some return appointment's, which is cool!

Sunday I was so sick, The night before I had been up all night just sick. I got myself to go to church though because I wanted to meet everybody and Sister Arrington had to play the piano for primary that day. So I was well enough to go to church. Then after church we went home and I just slept it off the rest of the day.

Davenport is in the middle of no where and in the middle of wheat fields. There are no trees unless they were planted there. Ritzville is the same way, and they are 1 hour away from each other. So that's super fun also. Haha!

Being a missionary is awesome, you go through hard times and good times but they are worth every bit. I love our Savior and the peace that he brings to this very noisy world. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and by reading it you get to know the savior on a more personal level. I know that this gospel has been restored so we can be with our families together again.

I love you all and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Week 27: Thank Thee oh God for a prophet

General Conference was this weekend! We were all super excited and ready! The night before we couldn't go to sleep! Haha! It was really great to see our prophet talk about the Church name and 2 hour church and more family home centered learning. I am super excited to see how that will impact not only us as missionaries but the whole world.

Sorry I didn't post a weekly last week, last Monday was super stressful and I didn't even think about it until later. Haha!

This morning we got our transfer calls and I'm going to.....

Davenport and Ritzville branches!
It is in the middle of nowhere and total boone area. It's on the edge of the mission and I've heard it's only hills. Haha! My new companion will be sister Arington, she was companions with sister Hawkins before me and she just loved her so I'm excited!

Monday night and Tuesday morning we got to do service at a members house and she took us out for lunch.😁 We then went to the church to print copies of invited to General Confrence. Then we went to a members house for dinner and she made chicken-pot-pie! My favorite meal ever!

Wednesday we had a lesson with one of our on-dates in newmen lake. She had to cancel so we just sat and talked with her family.

I am getting worse and worse at writing in my journal so I don't remember what else h append this week.

I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. It is Jesus Christ's church. I know that we have a prophet of God who helps us come closer to our families. 2 hour church will help our families become more united and bring us closer to the savior as a family. I love this church. I am so excited to serve the people in Davenport! Haha!

Love you all
